Keep the clear and complete business name:
Be sure to keep a clear and on-the-point business name as your name for a business or brand is forever so make sure you give it some thought! The category of your business will determine what other fields you’ll need to fill in for example if you select coaching, you’ll need to provide the operating hours and other initials.
Change vanity URL:
To finalize your Facebook business Page, make sure to pick out a URL that accurately matches the rest of your social handles. Use your business’s name or a URL that is short and easy to remember. To change your Facebook Page URL, go to the “About” section of your profile.
Pick a relevant template:
You can find templates for all sorts of categories, such as restaurants or service businesses. These will automatically populate the tabs based on what is best for these types of businesses. Of course, you are allowed to customize Templates by adding new tabs or removing them entirely.
To create templates, click on “Edit Page Info” or “Settings.” Once you scroll to the left, you’ll see the “Templates and Tabs”. This will allow you to customize which tabs show up on your sidebar.

With the update to the new Facebook Page design, visitors don’t see a preview of the “About” section when they land on your page. They have to click on the “About” option in the left-hand column next to your content instead. Still, it’s one of the first places they’ll look if they want more information about your page.
The “About” section of your Facebook Page is a valuable asset that can be leveraged to both capture attention and share information about your brand. No matter what you choose, though, be sure that the copy is brief and descriptive–both will convince your viewers to Like or follow your page.
Recognizable profile picture:
This step is incredibly important to your Facebook business Page – your profile imagery. Your Page and cover images are the first things someone will see when they land on it. When you are picking a photo, remember that Facebook frequently changes its dimensions; Page profile pictures display at 170×170 pixels on desktops, but at 128×128 on smartphones. You can also preview the crop and make adjustments to the photo when you upload it.

Call to action button:
One of the most useful ways to use your Facebook business Page is by sending people to your website. Facebook allows you to quickly drive Website traffic through a call-to-action button. Even though you cannot fully customize the phases, you can link your call-to-action phrase with your appointment-setting or e-commerce platform. For example, if you want visitors to click the call-to-action button to set up a meeting, simply linking it with calendar software will fuel that action for them. You can also just send your own customers to a specific page or website on your domain.
To add a CTA to your business Page, open the blue “Add a Button” box. From there, you can choose which type of CTA you want and select what website or content on our Page needs to be directed at.

Baseline posts before promoting the page:
It is advisable that you get some content on your blog before you share it on Facebook. It may take a little while to create the content, but it’ll be worth it in the end.
It’s important to have at least a week of content scheduled before you start promoting your page. Experiment with different types of social media content like videos, images, long text posts, or short text posts. Try Facebook Lives and Stories on Facebook or posting links to other sites.
Know your audience. The more often your posts are liked, shared, and commented on, the more often they will show up in the News Feed for that fan’s friends. This is why it is important to know what types of content your fans interact with.
Pin the most important post:
For people who own Facebook pages, older posts often disappear from the Timeline as new updates are posted. To combat this effect, it’s possible to use Facebook’s “pin feature.” With pinning, you can promote things like new lead-gen offers or upcoming events by using the flag icon next to the post. The only limit is that you can only have one pinned post at a time.
